The big improvement here is that one of the main kharacters has kharisma and a personality. Without Urban’s Johnny Cage this would have been an awful time. Frankly shocking how bad komputer generated imagery has gotten since the introduction of AI to film production. My favorite interpretation of the levels of Mortal Kombat was the Muppet Khristmas Karol-ass town square.
