Blood Quantum (2019)

There was a moment early on that felt incredibly fresh and new to the zombie lexicon, when the first hint of something being off about the world is shown, that sets an incredibly high bar that the rest of the film doesn’t quite meet. Like, I’ll be thinking about the zombie salmon flipping around for awhile. The rest of the film executes its marks well, but those marks are pretty standard. Lotta guts, tho. Lotta zombies getting up in those guts.
